What is included in this course?


 "Beginner" and "Advanced" levels - Total of 24 units, 150+ lessons

Our course is separated into "beginner" and "advanced" levels.

Roughly it translates to the JLPT (Japanese Language Proficiency Test) N5 and N4 curricula, respectively.

However, don't be mistaken that it's only up to N4 therefore it's too simple or not enough - if you can master everything up to the N4 level, you can speak a very good conversational level of Japanese!

If you spend 15-20 minutes every day, learning and doing the exercises, you should expect to be able to finish each level in about 3 months, with a total of 6 months for the entire course.

After finishing the course, you will reach the level where you can handle the majority of daily Japanese conversations.

Lessons taught in English; Practice videos with native Japanese voice

A lot of Japanese courses are taught in Japanese (with English subtitles), and we believe that can become confusing and ineffective for beginner learners. Therefore we made sure to partner with a native Japanese teacher who commands strong English skills.

Lessons are delivered as "video lectures" - Our certified, native Japanese teacher Yoko-sensei will use English to explain the concepts in the most easy-to-understand ways.

Subtitles are also included in all the lessons so in case English isn't your first language or you are concerned whether the Japanese teacher , you can use the subtitles to help.

Then you will get a practice video after every lesson. You will try to use what you learned in the lessons to form sentences in Japanese. Through these sentence-making exercises, you will increase your speed and competency which is vital for improving your speaking skills.

The exercise videos also come along with native Japanese reading so that besides practicing making sentences, you can also practice your pronunciation as well.

After each unit, there will also be an "integrated exercise" which requires you to put everything you've learned up to that point to practice making more complicated sentences.
